About
Lumbini is the Buddhist Pilgrimage site where Queen Mayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautam in 563 BC. It is located in Rupendehi district of province no.5 in Nepal. It is well known around the globe as "the land of peace" where more than millions of tourist yearly come here to visit. It is enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1997.

Since his childhood, Buddha used to think about the reason for birth, death, sickness, and aging. But his parents wanted him as a future king of the nation so they gave all the luxurious things to divert him from that spiritual behavior. Further, he was provided with Combat training and Royal behavior training too.

Later, Gautam got married to beautiful princess Yashodhara and became a parent at his age of 29 with a child named Rahul, still, he wasn’t happy with his life.
Englightment of Gautam Buddha
One visiting, Siddhartha Gautam saw a died body, old, sick people. He wanted to know the reason behind death, why people gets old and other aspects of life. He decided to live home and went to Bodhgaya(India) where he started meditating. After meditating continuously for the whole six days and nights, he became spiritual one “Buddha”. This is how he got enlightened and became Gautam Buddha.
